The pure platinum cogs make it practically indestructible and a machine of pure raging power! It is hard to say whether the scientists think their masterpiece a success or a failure because since the Enraged Rhinobot has emerged from their labs, no one has been able to discover their whereabouts.

Carved from the turbulent molten rock at the base of Mt. Dracano, the Magma Base reflects the more dangerous side of the tropics. Scientists haven't quite identified the gas that vents out of this rock yet, but they are sure of one thing: mice love it.
Ronza has a hard time carrying a lot of these, because they burn right through boxes and bags.
The Magma Base is the base with the highest luck so far. It also has the stalest cheese effect of any base to date.
Purchasing Info

The Magma Base was available for purchase for 374,700 gold from Ronza's Traveling Shoppe during her October 2009 visit. It refunded for 67,446 gold at the same location.
History and Trivia

The Magma Base was introduced on 20 October 2009.
It is the second limited edition base to have been released.

Cheese Effect: No Effectf Gnawnia's finest bakers collaborated to produce this amazing cake, which also doubles as a decorative base. With double chocolate icing, three layers of triple chocolate cake, and an astounding, super rich filling of the as-yet-untasted quadruple chocolate fudge delight, this may well be the most chocolate-y base ever! This cake is tasty and filling for hunters, but if a mouse takes more than a few bites, it will lapse into a sugary coma.

lagoon

8:19 pm - Lagoon
I sounded the Hunter's Horn and was successful in the hunt! I caught a 5 oz. Water Nymph Mouse worth 4,725 points and 790 gold.
The waters of the Lagoon look dangerous! I hope you can swim!

You will find yourself having trouble attracting mice to your trap here, unless you use Gnarled cheese. If you need more Gnarled cheese, head back to the Great Gnarled Tree to collect potions from the mice there. Or, if you want to attract the really valuable mice here, you might want to make some Wicked Gnarly Cheese. MouseHunters pursuing this cheese might benefit from consulting a certain Curious Chemist at the Great Gnarled Tree about ingredients.

Dwelling in the water is the fearsome Hydra mouse. The Hydra originates from the Ocean to the East, where it is known for being the cause of many shipwrecks. For this reason, the Hydra is known for dropping many nautical items. If you have your sea legs, try hunting the Hydra. You may just discover the mysteries of the ocean in the process.

Big Bad Burroughs Mouse
Even with all of the wisdom of the Laboratory scientists at their disposal, the town of Digby is scrambling to deal with all the cave-ins, punctures and ground tremors caused by the 'Triple B'. Where this mouse goes, a trail of churned-up earth follows, collapsing anything sitting on top of it, and because it pulls all of its cheesy victims underground, the Big Bad Burroughs mouse very seldom needs to show its head above the earth's surface. . . but when it does, you know it's angry.
